Our Team

Ellis Cabrera, LMSW

I am a Limited Permit Social Worker with a Master’s in Social Work from Fordham University. My

goal is to create a safe and supportive space where you feel heard and understood as you navigate
life’s challenges. I value the unique perspectives each person brings and use approaches like
cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) and person-centered care to tailor our work to your needs.
Together, we’ll focus on building resilience, finding insight, and developing tools that support lasting
growth and change.
I have experience working with individuals across many stages of life, including adolescents and
older adults. My background includes supporting clients through couples/family therapy, substance
use counseling, mental health concerns, trauma processing, and exposure-based approaches. You
can expect a supportive, non-judgmental space where you set the pace. I take a person-centered
approach, meaning your goals and values guide our work. Using motivational interviewing, I’ll help
you explore your strengths and build confidence in making changes. With a trauma-informed lens, I
prioritize safety, respect, and choice so you feel empowered and in control of your healing journey.
I view therapy as a collaborative journey. In our work together, I take time to understand your unique
story, challenges, and hopes for the future. Sessions are guided by your goals, with a balance of
structured therapeutic techniques and open, supportive dialogue. Whether you are navigating a
difficult transition or seeking to strengthen self-awareness, I will meet you where you are and help
you move toward a life that feels more balanced and fulfilling.
