Ally (Alexandria) Bateman, LMSW

Hello, my name is Alex Bateman. I have a Licensed Master of Social Work in New York, and I received my MSW from the University of Michigan. I believe that therapy is most effective when you feel safe to be authentically you. My goal is to create a warm, supportive, and judgment-free environment where you feel heard, understood, and empowered to work toward the changes that matter most to you. I use a trauma-informed approach and draw from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help clients better understand their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors while building healthy coping strategies and navigating life’s challenges with greater confidence and resilience.

I recognize that every person’s experiences are unique, and I tailor treatment to meet your individual needs, goals, and pace. I have experience working with children through play therapy, supporting them with understanding emotions and navigating family transitions. I’ve also worked with adolescents and adults navigating a wide range of concerns, including anxiety, ADHD, Autism Spectrum Disorder, and grief and loss. I’ve worked with families and couples to navigate relationship challenges and life transitions, fostering a space for communication through a family systems model.

Whether you’re feeling overwhelmed by day-to-day stress, working through a difficult loss, or hoping to strengthen your relationships, I’m here to meet you where you are and support you every step of the way. Together, we’ll identify your strengths, work through obstacles, and create realistic, sustainable strategies to help you move toward the life you want to build.
