Kenneth David Scott Jr.

Kenneth David Scott Jr. is a Caribbean American man from Canarsie, New York. He has received his Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from SUNY College at Old Westbury and his Masters of Social Work from Walden University with his license received shortly after. Kenneth has a work history with HELP USA as a case worker and Institute for Community Living as both a case worker and social worker. Currently he is employed as the evening social worker for SUNY Downstate Hospital Center. The population served has been adults of all ages and severities, suffering from severe mental illnesses (SMI). As a result of time off from work during the height of the pandemic, Kenneth started a mental health blog called The Mind According to Kenneth, to help explain and make mental health topics part of everyday conversation. For the future Kenneth looks to receive his clinical license and also go for his doctorate degree to teach at the University level. Happiness for Kenneth looks like a nice cup of coffee, surrounded by friends discussing how they are doing in their respective fields and what they are doing to better themselves in the long run.
